Ethernet in the Age of AI: Adapting to New Networking Challenges
November 19, 2024
Raguraman Sundaram, Celestica
Erik Smith, Dell Technologies
Join us for an insightful webinar on the transformative impact of AI on networking. This session will delve into the various use cases of AI, the nature of traffic for different workloads, and the network impact of these workloads. We will explore the multiple networking challenges posed by AI and how Ethernet is evolving to meet these demands. Special focus will be given to congestion issues during model training, the role of Ultra Ethernet Consortium (UEC), and the specific requirements related to training large language models (LLMs) and other use cases.
Building Community to Tackle Cloud Object Storage Incompatibilities
November 21, 2024
Michael Hoard, Chair, SNIA Cloud Storage Technologies Initiative
Arnold Jones, SNIA Technical Director
Ric Wheeler, Versity
SNIA is taking the lead to build an open expert community dedicated to resolving incompatibility issues between various object storage implementations and develop best practices. The first step was the successful SNIA Cloud Object Storage Plugfest at SDC’24. Join this webinar to learn about the collaborative effort within this multi-vendor community. We will share insights into industry best practices, provide an overview of how a wide range of vendors is uniting to address real customer issues, explain the benefits your implementation may gain with improved compatibility, and detail how you can participate in interoperability testing at our next SNIA Cloud Object Storage Plugfest in April 2025.
