White Paper: Energy Efficient Data Center Storage

The Green Grid® and SNIA Green Storage Initiative have released an updated white paper, “Energy Efficient Data Center Storage: An Assessment of Storage Product Power Efficiency.” The updated white paper includes new data analysis based on several years of EPA ENERGY STAR® Enterprise Storage System reports and further advises that an idle-only metric is a misleading indicator of a system's efficiency. This is white paper #86 which replaces white paper #77.

Additional EPA ENERGY STAR reports can be reviewed and downloaded at the EPA ENERGY STAR website.
