Three Days of Cloud Object Storage Interoperability Testing
We are excited to build upon the success of our two Plugfests where engineers from Datadobi, Dell, Google, Hammerspace, Huawei, IBM, Impossible Cloud, Microsoft, NetApp, Pure Storage, VAST Data, and Versity Software collaborated on tackling cloud object storage incompatibilities at SDC'24. The Cloud Object Storage Plugfest is a unique open forum opportunity for industry innovators to collaborate and enhance interoperability among private and public cloud object storage solutions. If your organization is developing S3-compatible object storage or develops other cloud software APIs that deploy object storage in any use case, your participation would be invaluable.
This Plugfest is where everyone comes together, tests their tech, finds problems, and fixes them. SNIA takes care of the space and tools, while Plugfest participants plan out the tests to make sure everything goes smoothly. Everyone agrees to keep things secret under (NDA).
You don't need to have a finished product to join. It's still a great idea to come, test your work, ask questions, and talk with others.
How You and Your Company Can Participate:
Signup to participate in planning activities*
Signup yourself, developers or product teams members from your company to engage in pre-plugfest planning activities. Signing up early offers the following benefits:
- Ensure your team’s needs are addressed by engaging early in the planning and development process.
- Receive access to the plugfest Participation Portal
- Attend virtual plugfest planning meetings, beginning in mid-June.
- Early access to Test Block scheduling.
- Space will be limited, each organization that signs up by August 01, 2025, will be guaranteed a plugfest seat (provided your team also completes registration, payment and submits an NDA).
- During the planning process, SNIA will assist participants with coordinating completion of their company’s Plugfest Non-disclosure Agreement (NDA) form. Only one NDA is required per company.

Register and pay plugfest fee
Each participant must register and pay applicable plugfest fees.
- SNIA Member fee: $695 per person**
- Non-SNIA member fee: $895 per person
The plugfest event fee includes plugfest meals and complimentary access to all SDC sessions.
