Abstract

RDMA is remote direct memory access. It's a more efficient way of moving data between CPUs, GPUs and storage devices. It allows the network adapter to offload the networking and data movement from the CPU, allowing the adapter to transfer data directly into the memory of another device by by passing the kernel without interrupting the CPU.
