Abstract

"SNIA conducted SNIA Emerald™ 3.0 training as a series of six 4-hour webinars in February-March 2018.

The topics, content, and flow follow the comprehensive training plan for V2.0.2, with the focus on V3.0. Emphasis is on the File IO test methods and tools, since this is new to the SNIA Emerald™ Specification V3.0. Block IO is covered in a refresher fashion, attendees were expected to become familiar with V2.0.2 and V2.1 training materials as a background that V3.0 builds upon. There is no hands-on-lab training.

To characterize the sessions, the first three sessions are primer and program “what is it”; the final three sessions are technical “how to.”"
