Abstract

This talk will present experimental “Push Mode” SMB3 transfers over RDMA protocols to Persistent Memory, including performance results as well as the implementation considerations which arose in the effort. The approach readily applies to other storage protocols, and the RDMA principles on which the transfers are based are similarly fundamental. Together, they demonstrate ultra-low-latency remote storage performance with truly groundbreaking potential.
