SNW Fall took place last week in Santa Clara, CA. During the event, SNIA offered SNIA Tutorials, SNIA Certification preparation sessions, and SNIA Certification on–site testing. There were 46 SNIA Tutorials that covered topics including Cloud Technologies, Data Protection and Management, File Systems and File Management, Green Storage, Networking, Security, Storage and Storage Management, Solid State Storage, and Virtualization / Applications. SNIA’s CDMI Specification Approved by ISO and IEC
SNIA announced that its Cloud Data Management Interface (CDMI) specification, the first industry–developed open standard specifically for cloud computing, has been designated an International Standard (IS) by the Joint Technical Committee 1 (JTC 1), a joint effort of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) for the purpose of standardization in the field of Information Technology. SNIA Announces 2013 Board of Directors and Technical Council Officers and Members
SNIA recently announced the officers and members for its 2013 Board of Directors and Technical Council. SNIA’s voting member company representatives elected the Board and Technical Council. The results were announced and new terms began with the October 4th All Members’ Annual Meeting.
